Meet Ciara

Ciara is a passionate veterinary assistant that started at Voorhees Veterinary Center in 2023. She is a graduate of Cherry Hill High School East where she was the president of Pet and Animal Welfare for Students (PAWS), president of the African American Culture Club, Board Member of Women in Science, and an active leader in various other clubs.

She is currently enrolled at Rowan University where she is pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences. In addition, Ciara has been accepted into Rowan's School of Veterinary Medicine accelerated program, a highly competitive pathway with only four students admitted annually.

At home, Ciara cares for a lizard named ET and a rescue dog named Harley, named after Harley Quinn. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, writing poetry, volunteering for a local horse sanctuary, and practicing activism for causes close to her heart. Her love for animals fuels her commitment to veterinary medicine, where she strives to heal and advocate for voiceless beings by being their voice.
